Kristin Michel Rodriguez, MS Econ.
Financial Advisor
With more than 25 years of experience in financial services, Kristin Rodriguez is a cornerstone of Symphony Financial’s advisory, planning, and research capabilities. Her deep expertise and thoughtful approach have long strengthened the firm’s commitment to delivering clear, comprehensive guidance to clients. A champion of long-term, sustainable strategies for individuals, businesses, and communities, Kristin leads the design and ongoing stewardship of Symphony’s Sustainable Investing Portfolios and enjoys engaging clients in conversations about purposeful, values‑aligned investing.
Kristin’s clients draw on the insight she has built through her work with two mutual fund companies, an insurance provider, a national bank and credit card organization, and a research institution. She is a Registered Representative and an Investment Advisor Representative with Cambridge Investment Research Advisors, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisor. Kristin holds Series 7, 24, 65, and 66 registrations, along with life and health insurance licenses in multiple states. She earned a Master of Science degree in Economics and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
A longstanding advocate for women in business, Kristin previously served as President of the Women Business Owners of Montgomery County, Maryland. She is also committed to expanding financial literacy in the community and has delivered educational programming in partnership with the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE).
Kristin and her husband live in Rockville, Maryland. Outside of Symphony, she is a ceramic artist and enjoys spending time outdoors in her sustainable, pollinator‑friendly garden.
Mitchell Mahoney
Financial Advisor
Mitch is a Financial Advisor with Symphony Financial, working out of both the Herndon and Ashburn offices. He also serves clients across the country, virtually.
He works with clients in all aspects of the financial planning process: from wealth creation and education planning to investment analysis and management for retirement. Mitch’s clients span from high-earning professionals in their prime wealth-building years (HENRY’s) to pre-retirees and retirees navigating one of the most meaningful financial transitions of their lives.
Mitch has been recognized as both ‘Best of Ashburn’ by Ashburn Magazine and as a Loudoun County ‘40 Under 40’ honoree – an award recognizing rising business and community leaders in Loudoun County. Mitch is a member of the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce as well as Business Networking International, in his hometown of Centreville.
Mitch holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business from Virginia Tech, where he majored in Finance. While in Blacksburg, he also completed the CFP® Board Registered Financial Planning Program through Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business. Mitch holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and various insurance licenses.
Mitch is a Northern Virginia native now residing in Leesburg with his wife and their two children. Mitch’s hobbies include spending time with family, golf, attending concerts, and staying active athletically.

Amy Brandts, ChFC®
Financial Advisor/Founder
Amy provides comprehensive, holistic planning for families and business owners, in the areas of retirement planning, asset allocation and risk management strategies, philanthropic planning and the tax efficient transfer of wealth to the next generation. She serves clients with an interest in sustainable investments. She provides support to widows/widowers and helps them with financial matters during difficult times.
As a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience, the plans developed by Amy and her team are completed after a thorough analysis, using time-tested strategies which provide clarity on methods to accumulate and protect wealth for retirement and heirs.
Amy is an Investment Advisory Representative and a fiduciary, acting only in the best interests of her clients, she is a Registered Principal and Registered Representative, holding Series 6, 7, 22, 24 and 65 registrations. She is life/health licensed in various states.
A native of Northern Virginia and an avid traveler with a sense of adventure, Amy and her husband spend their leisure time hiking mountains around the world.
Drew Rodriguez-Michel
Client Service Representative
Drew is the newest member of Symphony, joining in 2025 after getting her Bachelor’s degree in English from Carleton College. She has worked in a variety of industries, including Food Service, Public Policy, and the Arts. Through these experiences, she has developed a passion for providing exceptional client experience and streamlining business practices. As Symphony’s Client Service Rep, she is excited to bring clients into the financial picture and empower them to achieve their financial goals.
Since joining, Drew has gotten her series 7 certification and is a Registered Representative. She is working on her series 66. While she grew up in Rockville, Maryland, she currently lives in New York City. In her free time, she sings in the Brooklyn Treble Choir, rock climbs and bikes, and plays the trumpet— to the dismay of her neighbors.
Hannah Duckworth
Director of Operations
Hannah Duckworth is our Director of Operations. Hannah ensures that our office operates smoothly and with client satisfaction.
Hannah is originally from Ocean City, Maryland, a beach town that taught her the value of teamwork and community service. Building on this foundation, she joined the Air Force National Guard in 2015 at the age of 17. There, she gained important skills like leadership, discipline, and organization.
Hannah graduated from Towson University in 2020 and subsequently moved to Northern Virginia. She was a teacher in Loudoun County Public Schools for three years, an experience that enriched her skills in communication, management, and problem-solving. Additionally, Hannah has eight years of customer service experience under her belt. She understands that the key to a successful operation is a satisfied client, and she is committed to ensuring that our client services are nothing short of exceptional.
In her free time, Hannah enjoys baking, camping, and reading a good book. She loves being creative, being outdoors and she is always eager to learn new things.
