Amy Brandts, ChFC®
Financial Advisor/Principal
Amy has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years and is a Chartered Financial Consultant® as well as an Investment Advisor Representative. Amy began her career at a large insurance company and honed her financial planning skills at a CPA firm as the in-house financial planner and investment manager. Experiences at those firms caused her to recognize the value of independence and inspired her to take that leap in 2002. Amy is also a Registered Representative and has FINRA Series 6, 7, 22, 24, 63, and 65 registrations, as well as insurance licenses in multiple states.
Amy believes in giving back to the community. She donates her time to various service projects focusing on the needs of children in Loudoun and Fairfax County. She served multiple years on the Rotary Club of Herndon Board and is a past president. She is a former board member of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce and former president and treasurer of the Executive Women’s Roundtable.
A native of Northern Virginia and an avid traveler with a sense of adventure, Amy and her husband spend their leisure time hiking mountains around the world.
Kristin Michel Rodriguez, MS Econ.
Financial Advisor
With over 25 years of experience in financial services, Kristin brings a wealth of knowledge to Symphony Financial and helps strengthen the client advice, planning, and research sides of the business. An advocate of long-term, sustainable solutions for clients, businesses, and communities, Kristin designs the Sustainable Investing Portfolios for Symphony and is happy to talk about Sustainability with clients. Known for her ability to listen and her passion for finding solutions, Kristin relishes every opportunity to help clients chart pathways toward their financial future.
Kristin’s clients benefit from her past experience with two mutual fund companies, an insurance company, a national bank and credit card firm, and a research institution. She is a Registered Representative and an Investment Advisor Representative with Cambridge Investment Research Advisors, Inc. a Registered Investment Advisor. She has her Series 7, 65, and 66 registrations, as well as life/health licenses in multiple states. She holds a Master of Science degree in Economics and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Kristin is a strong advocate for women and in the past served as President of the Women Business Owners of Montgomery County, MD. She is also an advocate of greater financial education in the community and has given talks in association with the National Endowment of Financial Education (NEFE).
Kristin and her husband are residents of Rockville, Maryland. She is a ceramic artist and enjoys spending time outdoors in her sustainable, pollinator garden.
Mitchell Mahoney
Financial Advisor
Mitch is a Financial Advisor with Symphony Financial, working out of both the Herndon and Ashburn offices.
He works with clients in all aspects of the financial planning process: from wealth creation and education planning, to investment analysis and management for retirement. His clients range from up-and-coming professionals, to those in their earning years approaching retirement, and retirees. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and various insurance licenses.
Mitch is a Northern Virginia native now residing in Ashburn with his wife Samantha and dog, Nash. In 2022 Mitch was recognized as a Loudoun County ‘40 Under 40’* honoree – an award recognizing rising business and community leaders in Loudoun County.
Mitch is a member of the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Loudoun County Chamber’s Young Professionals committee. He is also a member of Business Networking International in his hometown of Centreville.
Mitch holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Virginia Tech, where he majored in Finance. While in Blacksburg, he also completed the CFP® Board Registered Financial Planning Program through Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business.
Mitch’s hobbies include spending time with family, attending concerts, and staying active athletically.
Linda Powell
Office Manager
Linda Powell is our Office Manager. She is the first voice you hear when you contact us and she helps keep our office running smoothly. Linda supports our clients in the opening and updating of accounts, keeps our client records, assists with setting up meetings, and produces our monthly newsletter. Linda has 20 years of experience as a data processing professional and 18 years in customer service, office administration, and publications.
Linda grew up in the Washington, DC metropolitan area (Montgomery County), and has lived in the Northern Virginia area since 1971. She also thinks of herself as an “upstate New York” person from her years at Syracuse University. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science and still bleeds “orange” during college basketball season. Linda has been active with the Girl Scouts, PTA, and the Reston Swim Team Association. She has two married daughters in the area and four grandchildren who keep her busy.
Danny Robles
Financial Services Associate
Danny is a Financial Services Associate for Symphony Financial, working primarily out of the Herndon office. He assists the advisors with the day-to-day operations of the office including the many aspects of the financial planning process such as investment analysis and the monitoring of accounts. Acting in the best interest of the client, Danny works with the lead advisor in order to meet the personal and financial goals of the client
Danny is a recent graduate of Virginia Tech. In addition to earning his Bachelor of Science in Finance, he was also able to successfully complete the CFP® Board Registered Financial Planning Program through the Pamplin college of Business. He plans to take the CFP Exam soon.
Danny is a current resident of Arlington, Virginia. In his free time, Danny can be seen traveling, playing sports, or watching a quality sitcom on tv.
